A secure tech campus thanks to one access control system

A business community with over 250 companies and 5000 people. That's quite a challenge. After all, buildings that are accessible to some people are not to others. Moreover, in one company you can just walk in during office hours. While another organisation wants employees to badge. But there are some more points of interest, think for example of the access to the parking area. Needs à la carte, that is. But hey, innovative technology campus or any other business park... the safety puzzle has to be solved everywhere. That’s where we, Synguard, come in.

What does Corda Campus stand for?

Corda Campus, the place where it all started for Syntegro/Synguard in 2007. An innovative business campus with a vibrant community. Business premises, meeting rooms, restaurants, barber shop, ironing service and a pick-up point for your groceries: an entrepreneurial world in itself. The result? A flow of people in and out. All day long. Such lively activity requires well-organised and automated access management. And Corda Campus found this at Synguard.

What do they need?

On the wish list: 1 highly reliable access control system that can be easily adapted to the needs of the 250 companies that are assembled here. Kathleen Bergé of Corda Campus: “Some companies have a few employees. Then there is not much access management needed internally. Other companies have a much larger team. They do want a better overview of who is in when. So flexibility is very important to us.”

But a flexible software which requires a technician from the supplier each time something changes, is not what Corda Campus wants. What they do want is software that internal technicians can easily operate themselves. The kind that just won't let itself be cracked.

1 access control system

The result is an ingenious access management system with licences for 10 100 users, of which 9 800 are in use. Employees gain easy access by holding their badge in front of the card reader. Does a company want to know who has been inside? Then they can request a report. Moreover, all buildings are managed with the same access control system. This is convenient because it avoids having to enter the data for people and badges twice.

“The cooperation with Synguard makes us happy. After a training course of less than half a day, our technicians already managed to do everything themselves. The software is very intuitive. Bye bye manuals,” says Kathleen Bergé. And now they are reaping the benefits at Corda. Because the campus is growing and the access control must follow. “The flexibility and user-friendliness are really top-notch. And if we do have a question? Synguard is always ready to help us out.”
