To continue our growth and increase our market share, we are looking for a technical sales engineer in the United Kingdom.


Synguard is a Belgian developer/manufacturer of hardware and software solutions for access management such as access control, visitor registration, parking management, ... As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Support Engineer to join our team and help us maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

What will your job responsibilities look like?

As technical support:

We are looking for a local support engineer to assist our partners with 2nd line support. Also, you will be responsible for the local training for UK partners (from basic hardware and software to advanced training). If needed, you will also deliver training on the job. When we need to configure hardware that is bought locally in the UK, you will complete the pre configurations per the required specification.

As the local product specialist, you will look to become a technical authority on the Synguard Open Access Management solution.


As presales:

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer to assist our partners in the design and offering of our solutions. This role will be critical in ensuring that our customers have a seamless experience with our products and receive prompt, effective presales assistance.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers (partners) with advice in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our products.
  • Support partners with system design of integrated solutions utilising Synguard and key partner products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, escalating more complex problems to the appropriate teams if necessary.
  • Deliver technical training to key partners and end users at the office and remote locations.
  • Pre configuration of equipment at the UK office location.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and report software or hardware bugs and contribute to product improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and support cases in our CRM/support system.
  • Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of our systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and our product offerings to provide informed support.


You will work together with technical colleagues from Belgium and report to our local country manager.

How do you get started?

First, you will learn about our hardware and software solutions. You will immediately be taken under the wing of Belgian colleagues and receive the necessary internal training from the relevant departments (technical, sales & marketing, product management, …).

Who are we looking for?

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical sales or a support related role, preferably in the access control/security sector:


  • You are driven and passionate about access management, software, and security.
  • You have a strong understanding of access control systems, including hardware, software, and networking.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a customer-centric approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or access control systems are a plus.
  • You are a perfectionist in your work and have an eye for detail.
  • You have good technical-commercial skills and a result- and solution-oriented approach.
