Synguard open access management platform at Populierenhof of Zorgpunt Waasland

Zorgpunt Waasland has been a trusted customer of Synguard for access management and Syntegro for time & attendance for several years.

Zorgpunt Waasland has again opted for Synguard access management for the new Populierenhof building in Nieuwkerken. Why? Robby De Roeck, special technology expert at Zorgpunt Waasland can explain:

Best-of-breed solution in practice

For the implementation of access management, a mix of different solutions was chosen, all managed together in our open management platform.

FEIG TCP/IP readers were installed for the external perimeter, so that the badges frequently pass an online update point.

Inside the building, we chose badge readers with keypad from Idesco, in the departments where control is needed to go outwards. For other doors, for example glass doors, we opted for more elegant door furniture from Assa Abloy - Aperio, more than 80 have been installed. A suitable solution was also found to manage the waste containers: offline wireless cylinders from SimonsVoss.

What is Populierenhof residential care centre?

The new Populierenhof residential care centre is located on the Populierenhof site on Turkyen in Nieuwkerken. The new care site is made up by four small-scale pavilions around two meeting areas.

The pavilions give the impression that the residents live independently in separate houses on a pleasant central square. In total, there are 125 housing units for residents who require care and 2 rooms for short and holiday stays.
